Bharath Murali Passed Away



Malayalam film actor Bharath Murali (55 years) passed away at a private hospital in Trivandrum. Murali who was highly diabetic, was admitted after a kidney failure followed by a massive heart attack. Last week he had just come back from Cape Town in South Africa, where he was shooting for Tamil superstar Suriya’s Aadhavan, directed by K.S Ravikumar and produced by Udayanidhi Stalin.

He was famous for his powerful portrayal of roles in lead as well as character roles. He started his career in Malayalam dramas. Murali contested the 1999 Lok Sabha elections as a CPI (M) candidate, from Alappuzha. He was the chairman of Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Academy.

He acted in a variety of roles ranging from lead roles to villain roles, and won accolades. Some of his other notable films include Nee Ethra Dhanya, Dhanam, The King,” Pathram”, Veeralippattu, Achan Kombathu Amma Varambathu, Meenamasathile Sooryan, Swarnam, and The Truth. He has won best actor award both at the state level and the national level.

It is a great loss to Malayalam film industry recently with sudden death of Lohitha Das, Rajan P Dev and now Murali.
