DJN Project a.k.a Ruben Vidal & Rick Galactik have been blazin' the scene as of late with their signature sound of R&B smoothness mixed with a taste of soulful house, their style has been noticed by many labels including ours and with this release it's a no brainer as to why we would not wanna release it.
Joell Ortiz has been blazin' the Hip-Hop world by storm with his incredible lyrical skill and has showcased it on 2 radio heavy jams like �Nissan, Honda, Chevy� & his strong solo debut single �Call Me�, It was with this heat DJN Project decided to collaborate with Joell and he happily got on board his first ever soulful house jam, so Thank You Joell, Koch Records and DJN Project for making this possible.
I picked up the release from the duo and I'm pleased to make this the first of two as I thought it fit our label perfectly with the direction we were heading and the style that we liked, Rick's songwriting skills continue to get better and not to mention his vocal style and Ruben's productions improve by every project he takes on, you can see this clearly by the Hip-Houseish style he gives to the original mix.
On the remix tip Nef Nunez delivers a great party starting version which will definitely get any event, club or lounge up and dancing while Bradford James takes you on a trippy dub mix which would go nicely with eclectic sets for those who prefer eclectic style grooves.
Myself & Reelsoul do what we do best but here we emphasize on Rick's Overdubs and Joell Ortiz's 16 bar rap to really take you into the soul of the song.
